PS3 Silent Hill Homecoming game save

Here is a game save just before Hell's Descent Boss 'Scarlet', everything collected so far.

There is health drinks, serum, First Aid and a laser gun among the other guns.

TUTORIAL: Burning Dreamcast Games

I had bought my dreamcast in Aug 99, had it stored away now for quite sometime.
I decided to get it out again to play some old games and burn some new ones.
This tutorial by life4racing worked great for me.
I am using DiscJuggler Pro v4 1179 and Sony CD-R discs, burned at 4x speed.

USB devices not recognized

Until just today all my usb devices and storage were working great. I am not sure why but all of a sudden my storage devices were not showing up and the safely remove hardware icon also did not appear.
My card reader which has 4 slots was gone. I searched and searched google until I found a post where the fellow removed all usb devices, shut down the computer, unplug it and pull the battery.
I did close to this except I went into the registry and went to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/system/currentcontrolset/enum/USBSTOR
there I could see the names of the devices I wanted restored. So I clicked on them and deleted them, I then shut down completely and removed battery for 30 min.

After that time I booted up and of course had to reset BIOS and then booted into windows and yes woohoo there were my usb devices and storage.

Hope this helps someone out.

Installing Office 2007

I wanted to upgrade to the new office 2007. Been running the beta1 and Expression Web Designer Beta 1.
I had no trouble uninstalling the Office 2007 Beta but did have a problem uninstalling the Expression Designer Beta. I think somehow the .msi was deleted by one of my drive cleaner softwares.
Anyway I followed steps in this blog which is very good read on how to ready for the Office 2007 installation.

For some reason Microsoft Expression Web designer Beta1 and Microsoft Expression Web Designer MUI (English) Beta 1 kept showing in my add/remove programs even though I thought I removed it all.
So I finally had to get the program called Your Uninstaller 2006 and clicked the program , then clicked advance and typed in what the program's name I wanted removed was.
It finally cleaned up all the registry entries and removed it for me.

BSOD

Well its been awhile since I tried zonealarm.......and havent since. But anyway been having BSOD since I installed new Buffalo Select PC3200 1GB sticks of ram. I even did memory tests telling me the ram is probably bad.
Kept getting IRQ not equal or less messages and others. Well after making some changes in the BIOS I was unable to start computer so had to reset and clear the bios. Well I tell you I have not had the Stop code errors since. So I am therefore thinking that when i added the ram I probably should have reset the bios then...........
I have changed and added ram numerous times in my life and not had to do that before. I have a PT800CE-A mobo.......
So maybe all the problems i was having before was due to that. Also I have made a swap drive partition for the paging file and that seems better also.

RE: Zonealarm

I ended up only a few hours later uninstalling this again. Everytime I opened Zonealarm after boot up, the program would say System Error up in the top right corner of Control Center. If highlighted the error would ask that a reboot be made to fix security. I did this and still it was there next time around.
Also I thought I would try the anti-spyware that came with and ended up with another BSOD, this time the true vector Vsmon.sys or dll or was the culprit.

So many issues with Zonealarm and yet its so secure........but what good is it if one can't run it properly.

I hope one day they get all these issues fixed, that or I can figure out what it is on my computer conflicting with it.

VSDATANT.SYS

I came across this stop Code error when installing the latest zonealarm 65_737_000_en.
It would install but upon reboot I got the BSOD saying the error was due to Vsdatant.sys.

It would not reboot without causing another BSOD, so I then upon reboot pressed F8 for options and chose safe mode.
I had read earlier on Zonelabs forum that this Vsdatant.sys is in conflict with some other software, although no one seems to know which one and that is what causes the BSOD.

So anyway in Safe Mode I then went to system device manager, clicked on view, then chose show hidden devices. Then checked out the non-plug and play devices and there was Vsdatant.sys. I checked its properties and changed it to disabled.
Then rebooted, came back to Safe Mode started up ZoneLab pro and chose to not start at system startup.....as I had read that also could be a problem..... But I dont think so as I hadnt even got that far yet and had this BSOD.
I then rebooted and so far all is good. I haven't had an error yet. I do like their program as it is so far leak proof and the newer firewall has the most common applications preconfigured, unlike some of their older ones. I do have to admit it does appear to have its problems but then again what software doesn't. Work through them and hopefully ZoneLab will take heed of them.

Helpful Hints when installing or uninstalling:

To install Zonealarm 65_737_000_en I even followed all the instructions . I then had to uninstall due to the error and followed these directions for that: Uninstall made easier
(Just save the page as text and it will probably view or read better)

RE: PS2

Well I got my magic keys II and installed them on my V14. With a good flashlight, small flat screwdriver and tweezers I got part #3 in less than 2 minutes. It takes a bit of wiggling around to get it in, but if done correctly the disc will spin with lid open or closed. My lid closed just fine after installing it.

Hello again ....haven't wrote for awhile been busy with other things.
Anyway recently I have gotten into playing around with my V7 PS2. I bought a USB
Drive and using USBExtreme_wininst I can copy games to the drive and play them using
USB Extreme. The games I cant play I got a slide tool and Swap Magic Coder 3.8. I have been able to play all games so far with that and perfectly.

I then had trouble with my PS2 not reading the DVD, so I then decided to learn how to take it apart using Ps2_Repair_Guide . It is a really helpful guide into cleaning etc.
But one has to be really careful not to bend or rip the cable by the reset/eject button when taking the lid off.
Well after playing around awhile I did rip mine and broke the reset/eject button. But I managed to find new ones here at mod-chip.com or you could find on Ebay also.
I also ordered a new slimline ps2 and the new Magic keys so will let you know how that goes for me.

Combatting Spam

Well for the past year I believe I have had nothing but problems with one of my email addresses and spam.
I once logged into a site I believed was about medical pharmacy stuff when I was taking a medical course. Anyway since that time I have had nothing but spam and of course the sender is using fake email or domain.

I finally switched to Mailwasher Pro 5.3 and it is working great. It stops the emails before they even reach my email program like Outlook etc.
I havent tried the free version but sure like the Pro version and it has a learning system also.
